Course Description

The Introduction to Mindfulness Course is a 4-week program that combines theoretical and practical knowledge (mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, exercises), designed to develop your ability to pay attention and be aware in every moment of your daily life, without criticism or judgment.

Participants will have space to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss mindfulness and its practices. Audio recordings of the guided meditations presented during the sessions will be provided to support the participants’ practice throughout the learning process.

Mindfulness is scientifically recognized, and when practiced regularly, it can:

  • Reduce stress and increase resilience
  • Improve concentration and focus
  • Enhance emotional self-regulation
  • Promote overall well-being

General Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define what mindfulness is and its benefits
  • Integrate both formal and informal practices into their routine

Program

February 19, 26, and April 2, 9, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

  • Week 1: Stepping out of autopilot and observing the breath
  • Week 2: The interaction between mind and body
  • Week 3: Exploring emotions and thoughts
  • Week 4: Integrating wholeness, self-compassion, and acceptance

Psychologist:

Elena Vanica – Full Member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association
Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Padua, Italy
Mindfulness Facilitator for children (Mindful Schools, USA) and adults (Brown University Mindfulness Center, USA)
Certificate in Pedagogical Competencies for Trainers
